Hotel Castle Ruins has been an art gallery, a performance space, a production office, a recording studio, and for the last 10 years, my home. It’s located in the heart of the Mile End, doors away from cafes, restaurants, venues, galleries, and shops. There are two floors with two bedrooms (both on the second floor).

The basic kitchen downstairs is at your disposal, the shower has reliable hot water and good pressure, the living room is equipped with large HD TV, Apple TV, and good WIFI. I work in independent music & arts & welcome guests looking for space with character, located in the center of one of the most beloved neighborhoods in Montréal.

Castle Ruins was fantastic. As much as we wanted to explore the wonderful Mile End neighborhood near the loft or strike out further afield, we also felt so at home in this space that it sometimes felt difficult to leave. The loft itself was beautiful, spacious and well-decorated. There was a great deal of room to relax and recover from long explorations of Montreal. Meanwhile, the space was located conveniently to numerous wonderful restaurants, grocers, bagels, transit and Bixi bike-share stations. On weekend nights the neighborhood was lively, but never too loud from the apartment…. We would eagerly stay here again the next time we are in Montreal.Bill

…spacious with an artistic flair and a lot of light, and could not be in a better location. We liked being there, in the middle of the wonderful Mile-End neighborhood, but in a peaceful place because the apartment is on the second and third floor, removed from the noise of the busy street… living space and still be in the middle of it all, you probably won’t find better for the price, which is quite reasonable. The TV with a Netflix subscription is a nice added bonus, as well as an excellent WiFi connection.Sylvie

Mile End

``Art galleries, designers' workshops, boutiques and cafés... The boundaries of Mile End are unofficially Mount Royal Avenue to the south, Van Horne Avenue to the north, Hutchison Street to the west, and Saint Denis Street to the east... described as the heart of the independent music scene in Montreal. The neighborhood continues to be a thriving centre for many artists & musicians.``
